About Marcy

I was born and raised in Texas. My family settled in Smithville in the 1800's where my great-grandfather was one of the town doctors. My Christian faith guides my conservative values and is why I am a passionate public advocate. I have an unwavering focus on emphasizing the importance of Willow Park citizens and their involvement in the decision-making process leading to local governance.

My husband and I fell in love with Willow Park in 2009 when our daughter started kindergarten at Trinity Christian Academy. Our family was able to write our favorite bible verses on the foundation of TCA's high school and Barber Gym. We've raised our children here over the past 12 years and have experienced the charm and warmth of some of the sweetest people we call our friends and neighbors. We have truly been blessed beyond measure.

I retired from Lockheed Martin Aero Corp. in 2007 after my son was born. My professional background is in accounting and it's the reason I tend to research audits and quarterly financials first when I suspect there might be an issue with city business.  I have always been passionate about speaking up for other people when I become aware of injustice taking place. I am running for City Council because I've witnessed much injustice taking place. I hope to earn your vote.
